A Summer of Change - Becoming a Pastor
I have always known that God is calling me to be who He created me to be. In a real practical way, I realize that I am a pastor. However my congregation is really different. Most pastors have churches that meet and they have sheep that they shephard locally. God has put me in relationship with several youth groups throughout the United States. In these relationships that He has built, I feel a pastoring over the lives of the young people. These youth groups come for a week long mission trip with us in South Carolina, and I have the opportunity to pour into them for one week. I then have the opportunity through revivals and various speaking engagements to keep in touch with these youth and to continue to guide and shephard them along the way. I also have had the awesome opportunity to have summer interns travel with us. This also gives me the opportunity to teach young adults what it means to be in leadership and what it means to be who God called them to be. So I realize that I am a pastor, even though my congregation may not look typical, God has created me for just this.
